“At Shepherd Offshore we pride ourselves on being able to cover a wide variety of works and frequently provide fabrication services to our clients. On this scope of works we provided a complete reel refurb to Technip FMC Umbilical’s Ltd. Our Hotworks team removed all correx and propaflex, all side plates and removed all rust. The team then carried out an inspection on the rim of each flange before repainting the full reel. Once this was complete, the final task required the fitting of new plates to the reel, correx to the flanges and propaflex to the barrel, with the reel being spun 3 times to confirm that all works was complete to the correct standard. Our fabricators worked to our client scope and completed the works to an extremely high standard”.
