SADS UK fundraising challenge in memory of allan stone
In honour of Allan Stone’s 47th birthday, Charlie and Warwick Shepherd will be joining Stoney’s Black Sheep Warriors to complete the David Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge. This involves running 4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours.
Allan sadly passed suddenly on Thursday 28th January and was a local legend in South Shields. Owner of Stoney’s barbershop, Allan lived his life to the fullest. He even completed the SAS fitness test ‘The Fan Dance’ when he was waiting for a hip replacement.
Raising money for SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome), the foundations mission is to save the lives and support the families of children and adults who are genetically predisposed to sudden death due to heart rhythm abnormalities. SADS UK donates cardiac equipment to save lives and heart monitors/event recorders to identify abnormal heart rhythms.
Charlie and Warwick Shepherd and others are fundraising to help Adam Lunn fundraise for SADS UK, in memory of Allan Stone with Barclays match funding the donations.
Their first 4-mile run will start at 8pm on Friday 5th March, finishing at 8pm Sunday 7th March. Shepherd Offshore are saddened by this sudden loss and if you would like to donate to this fantastic cause, please follow the link:
