Shepherd offshore have been engaged members of the Global Underwater Hub (GUH) for many years and are a key participant in our Northern advisory group. In the last year, the GUH have moved to a regional model opening an office in Newcastle in the process.
Global Underwater Hub specifically chose the Shepherd Offshore, Tyne bank location on Wincomblee Road, for our Newcastle location due to the highly developed underwater industry infrastructure and supply chain already in place. The engineering and manufacturing cluster as well as the port facilities in the area provide the perfect foundation to service the UK’s significant offshore wind targets. We have found Shepherd Offshore to be an extremely supportive landlord in terms of assisting with local connections and providing guidance on setting up our own local supply chain. The new building and location has been a real success and we our very happy with our choice to base here.
