Shepherd Offshore Comments:

Shepherd Offshore is proud to have provided comprehensive operational support to the Global Underwater Hub (GUH) throughout the entirety of their project, ensuring seamless logistics through tailored transportation and storage solutions. These services were instrumental during the construction and refurbishment of the new GUH office, allowing the project to proceed efficiently and on schedule.

The newly refurbished office is already making a significant positive impact on the North Bank of the River Tyne, revitalising the local area and fostering economic growth within the surrounding communities. This strategic development has brought new opportunities to the region, attracting key industry players and enhancing the North East’s reputation as a thriving hub for underwater technology and offshore industries.

We are honoured to have played a part in welcoming GUH to the North East and are excited to witness the long-term benefits that this partnership and the new office will bring, not only to the underwater technology sector but also to the broader local economy. Shepherd Offshore remains committed to supporting innovative projects like this, contributing to the growth and success of the North East’s industrial landscape.

Managing Director, Shepherd Offshore

Testimonial:

Shepherd offshore have been engaged members of the Global Underwater Hub (GUH) for many years and are a key participant in our Northern advisory group. In the last year, the GUH have moved to a regional model opening an office in Newcastle in the process.

Global Underwater Hub specifically chose the Shepherd Offshore, Tyne bank location on Wincomblee Road, for our Newcastle location due to the highly developed underwater industry infrastructure and supply chain already in place. The engineering and manufacturing cluster as well as the port facilities in the area provide the perfect foundation to service the UK’s significant offshore wind targets. We have found Shepherd Offshore to be an extremely supportive landlord in terms of assisting with local connections and providing guidance on setting up our own local supply chain. The new building and location has been a real success and we our very happy with our choice to base here.

Regional Manager, GUH
