Project Manager, Baker Hughes
"I have been in the offshore industry for over 30 years covering various positions on offshore construction vessels. During this time I have frequently attended Shepherd Offshore facility to load flexible pipe and cargo from their quayside and utilised their services. Shepherd Offshore strive to be a leader in their market, their attention to safety and quality is excellent. I have always been impressed by their attentive nature and preparation if a vessel is due to tie up at their facility. They contact you in advance and make the process easy. The variety of services is excellent from heavy lifting 300 tons to small packages everything is done with safety in mind and excellent organisational qualities."
Client Rep, Seven Pacific
Shepherd Offshore Comments:
"Our established in-house capability and capacity allowed a full turnkey solution, from our adjacent and infrastructure facilities to the end-user. Our reactive management and supervision team on this occasion worked successfully with Baker Hughes and multiple parties to organise the transfer and loadout of 2 reels.
The transfer from Offshore Technology Park to Neptune Energy Park via road was done on a just in time basis, with a maximum weight of 341T for a reel. This allowed a seamless transition transferring to GLOBAL PORT SERVICES (SCOTLAND) LIMITED and lifting onto the Seven Pacific vessel with supportive sea fastening services provided. This was all done in a safe, efficient and effective way, lifting over 550 tons in total."
