Shepherd Offshore Comments:

This Project was slightly different due to the use of an SPMT for the 1 reel loadout of 390t, as we utilised third party specialised equipment to move the reel to the crane's radius instead of client's crane and our fixed quay track system. The SPMT had to be to a specific height of 1.25m while also being low enough to move under the lifting / take up stand.

The project presented Shepherd Offshore with the opportunity to utilise some of our unique logistical assets and displayed our willingness to quickly adapt our schedule for client operations. Loading the reel to the vessel was completed successfully against a tight schedule in a safe, professional manner working in synergy with Baggio, Offshore and Heavylift Services and Bridon Bekaert in complex weather conditions.
