Shepherd Offshore Raises Over £2,000 for Mind Tyneside and Northumberland
Shepherd Offshore were proud to have successfully fundraised over £2,000 for local charity Mind Tyneside and Northumberland, following a dedicated Men’s Mental Health Awareness Day, as part of Men’s Health Week.
The event brought together colleagues from across the business, including both quayside and office staff, to focus on the importance of mental health, wellbeing, and open conversations in the workplace.
Representatives from Mind Tyneside and Northumberland joined us on-site to deliver a series of engaging and informative talks. These sessions provided practical advice, highlighted the importance of early support, and encouraged open discussions around men’s mental health.
The day was designed not only to educate but also to create a relaxed and welcoming environment. Staff, who were encouraged to wear blue in support of men’s health, enjoyed a variety of activities and treats, including an ice cream van and a selection of giveaways, helping to break down barriers and encourage participation across the site.
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting Mind Tyneside and Northumberland’s vital services, which provide advice, support, and resources to individuals experiencing mental health challenges across the region.
Charles Shepherd, Managing Director:
“We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part in the day and contributed to such an important cause. Supporting mental health is something we take seriously, and events like this help us create a culture where people feel comfortable speaking openly and seeking support when they need it.”
Shepherd Offshore would like to thank Mind Tyneside and Northumberland for their time and valuable insights, as well as all employees who helped make the event a success.
