£720 raised for Breast Cancer Now

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Shepherd Offshore took part in Wear It Pink 2020. On Friday 23rd October, the Company invited employees to donate and wear an item of pink, fundraising to support those affected by breast cancer.

Following coronavirus guidelines and ensuring continued support to this fantastic cause, the team received pink themed cakes and goody bags and the chance to win prizes in a raffle across Offshore Technology Park, Neptune Energy Park and Mitford Estate. In doing so, Shepherd Offshore raised an amazing £720 to date! The Company would like to express their gratitude to all who took part and donated.

Right now, in the UK, around 1000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every week. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the earlier it is spotted, the better chance of effective treatment. Please visit https://breastcancernow.org/ for information and support and how you can get involved. If you are concerned about your breasts, please call 0808 800 6000 to speak to a breast care nurse.
