Global Underwater Hub Launch Day
The national trade body Global Underwater Hub have officially opened their Newcastle office base in Walker, which will serve as a key focal point for the north of England. Being leased from Shepherd Offshore, the office is based on 1 Wincomblee Road.
The facility will also serve as a multi-purpose event and TV studio, with the hosting of industry events. GUH has a track record of organising industry events, having hosted this year’s Subsea Expo at Aberdeen’s P&J Live, welcoming 6,000 delegates.
Charles Shepherd, Managing Director said “The Global Underwater Hub launch day was a great success yesterday. Seeing Neil, Ricci, Kirstin and the rest of the GUH team delivering an excellent presentation on the success and future aims of the ‘blue economy’. I believe that the introduction of this office base is going to help boost the ongoing advancement of the North Bank of the Tyne”.
