Lifting and handling

Shepherd Offshore provides the skill of our operatives together with a versatile and comprehensive offering of cranes, plants and equipment.

Our teams are well-rehearsed in basic and complex material handling solutions, both within and outside our deepwater facilities.

The skills of our highly-trained staff make us one of the leading crane hire and material solutions in the UK.

We also operate one of the largest permanent waterside heavy capacities, supported by a diverse range of plant, mobiles and crawler cranes.

Marine Services
The Shepherd Offshore team has a comprehensive understanding of the complex issues associated with marine requirements.

Our marine facility offers support services when your vessel berths with us and has a large wet berth facility for complex projects across all industries.

Our facilities are available for both current enquiries and upcoming projects, with management teams on hand to help and support you at every stage, from planning through to execution.

Warehousing and storage

 Our extensive open and covered storage facilities have a strong infrastructure, supported by established transport links. This capacity, and our capability, meaning we can provide you with cost-effective and efficient storage, together with equipment handling and distribution.

With 500,000 ft.² of high-quality undercover storage facilities, we can supply you with a comprehensive range of modern, new-build, multi-user and sole-occupancy warehouses.

We strategically positioned our undercover storage offering close to our open storage – which is high-capacity, load-bearing and has effective adjacent waterside access.

Logistics

Shepherd Offshore’s logistics division consists of a qualified team of professionals – our in-house expertise means we will manage your project from conception to delivery, with efficiency and professionalism.

We work closely with our clients, exploring all opportunities for increased efficiency, including improving service levels, and enabling core business focus.

We operate on a 24 hour a day basis (Subject to Notice & Agreement) and supply critical “just in time” deliveries. We aim to provide the highest of industry standards while maintaining a flexible and user-friendly approach.

Experienced technicians

The training and efficiency of our staff make us one of the top energy companies in the UK. Overseeing our industry-leading management system, we can seamlessly assess safety, health, environmental and quality controls alongside daily processes.

We equip our project management and technical teams with CAD, lifting software, and supportive expertise. This provision enables us to plan and manage risk through our robust and practically designed system.

We assess all the variables to allow for the most efficient and stress-free experience for our clients.

Engineering

Shepherd Offshore provides a full turnkey quality engineering service. This covers initial design, manufacturing, fabrication and installation, through to final commissioning.

We look to integrate our services throughout our client supply chains working to your requirements and standards while providing flexible added value at every stage.

Whether you’re looking for bespoke support fabrications, equipment or design solutions to assist in your supply chain, sea fastening, lashing and securing for your cargo or equipment in transit or mobilisation or demobilisation of a vessel – our engineering team is on hand to help you.

Decommissioning

With over 40 years experience of in providing specialist services to oil and gas, power and renewable industries, Shepherd Offshore is your ideal decommissioning partner in the North East.

Our project management team is on hand to help and support you at every stage of your decommissioning project, from planning through to execution.

We’ll work closely with your team to identify critical, project-specific issues. Then develop efficient solutions – minimising costs without compromise to operational safety, or the quality of environmental controls.

With an established pool of resources to call upon, we consistently deliver highly successful decommissioning outcomes.

Construction and development

Over the past 40 years, Shepherd Offshore has established two world-class manufacturing clusters on the North Bank of the River Tyne.

We currently house some of the biggest companies in the energy sector, including Technip, GE, Bridon-Baekart and many more. We offer both space and development, including the creation of bespoke infrastructure in prime strategic locations.
